Initial Coverage Stage
You start in this stage after you have met any deductibles associated with your prescription drug plan. In 2025, you remain in this stage until your total out-of-pocket prescription drug spending reaches $2,000. After your costs reach $2,000, you move to the Catastrophic Coverage Stage. (Note: the Coverage Gap Stage, or "Donut Hole", has been eliminated starting in 2025.
